Meet Rebecca, the creative force behind unforgettable events and the mastermind behind Events by Rebs. With a rich background in event planning and a passion for creating meaningful experiences, Rebecca, or as her friends call her, Rebs, brings a unique blend of skills, experience, and a friendly approach to every event and each new client.

Prior to her transition to event planning, Rebecca spent eight years engaging communities through strategic community-building initiatives. As the first Director of Teen Engagement at Beth El Synagogue in Durham, she pioneered a program that cultivated connections among Jewish teenagers, fostering a sense of community, friendship, and leadership. Guess how? Through developing and planning engaging and purpose driven events! Rebecca then spent 2.5 years as the Special Events Coordinator at the Nasher Museum of Art. There she delve into the intricacies of on-the-spot problem-solving, meticulous setup, and event catering; gaining invaluable insights into the art of crafting seamless events.

At the heart of Rebecca's event planning philosophy is the belief that experiences are everything. She believes events should not adhere to "standard practices," preferring instead to tailor each event to the unique vision and desires of their clients. This personalized, people-first approach is a testament to her commitment to making every event a true reflection of the host's personality and aspirations.
